Hailey earned her bachelor’s degree from University of California Davis in wildlife, fish, and conservation biology with a focus in wildlife health. During her undergraduate years, Hailey assisted with various research projects including studies on habitat use by endangered amphibians, aquatic avian nesting, social behavior in shark species, dietary effects in small mammals, and rehabilitation of raptors. Following her studies at UC Davis, Hailey served as an environmental regulator for the United States Army Corps of Engineers. During her time with the Corps Hailey developed expertise in environmental policy and permitting for work in wetlands and riverine environments. Hailey is certified by the Wetland Training Institute in wetland delineation techniques and leads aquatic resource delineation surveys and report preparations at RBI. Collaborating with other staff at RBI, Hailey continues to expand her experience in environmental impact assessments, state and federal environmental permitting, data analysis, GIS mapping, and monitoring endangered species.
