Project Scientist
Mrs. Teresa Lopez is a project scientist with 10 years of experience in supervising certified laboratories, laboratory QA/QC, and drinking water and wastewater regulatory compliance. Teresa earned her bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College, with an emphasis in chemistry. Her undergraduate work focused on different environmental research projects related to groundwater contamination and the spatial correlation between arsenic and mercury contamination, mining, and the microorganism community. While earning her Master of Science in Forensics (environmental focus) at the University of California, Davis she supervised the ELAP-certified laboratory for the City of Woodland Water Pollution Control Facility and prepared a thesis on the Ongoing Legal and Social Challenges and Advances to the Eastern San Joaquin River Watershed Irrigated Lands Watershed Discharge Requirement. Teresa also received her California Water Environment Association Laboratory Analyst Grade II Certification and an Environmental Compliance Inspector Grade I Certification. Teresa has extensive laboratory experience, including certifications to run ICP-MS, GC-MS, FTIR, and FT-NMR. For RBI, Teresa provides client support on NPDES/WDR compliance and reporting, Whole Effluent Toxicity testing, and development and implementation of special studies and Industrial Pretreatment Programs.
