Microcystis Expert Witness Testimony for the California WaterFix

RBI analyzed the potential for implementation of the California WaterFix to affect the frequency, distribution, and magnitude of Microcystis blooms in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The Microcystis analysis evaluated the effects of the the California WaterFix on water quality (e.g., water temperature, nutrient levels) and flow parameters (e.g., channel velocity, turbulence and mixing, and residence time) that, in turn, affect Microcystis blooms in the lower Sacramento and American rivers and Delta. RBI provided both written and oral expert witness testimony pertaining to Microcystis to the State Water Resources Control Board in its water rights hearing for California WaterFix.
