On behalf of West Coast Grape Growers, RBI formulated a water supply inventory and risk assessment for 65,000 acres of developed vineyards in five regions of the central valley of California. The assessment quantified historical usage by source as well as the trends and reliability for each of these sources. RBI also identified alternatives to mitigate the risk of supply which included the development of the Tracy Lake Improvement District of the North San Joaquin Water Conservation District. This project diverts Mokelumne River surplus flow to replace groundwater extractions serving 1,200 acres of land during wet years.
